An example of perfect balance between music and drama. Two of the most important singers in the history of opera show us how the recitativo con orchestra and the duetto from the scene 1 in the act 1 of Don Giovanni by W.A. Mozart should be interpreted. Electrifying! German lyric soprano Elisabeth Grummer (Donna Anna) and german lyric tenor Fritz Wunderlich(Don Ottavio) also remind us of how german should be sung. Hans Zanotelli conducts the Berliner Symphoniker and sets the senses on fire. It was in Feb the 1rst of 1960. The photos are taken in the cemetery of Pere Lachaise , in the Musee du Louvre and in the Louvre des Antiquaires (the replica of St George by Donatello) in Paris. Enjoy.
